Carbon Offsetting Jobs and Process

Okay. Here is the process that you go through when doing Carbon Offsetting.

1) Get list of names and change from Pei Yi. (only 1:05-1:30 shift)
2) Set up a stand outside the canteen.
3) Help People Offset Carbon Emission.
--> A) Ask Him or Her where they travel.
--> B) Using http://www.travelmath.com/flight-distance/, Calculate the distance they travel. Remember to times the distance by two since it is a roundtrip.
--> C) Insert The distance to the Carbon Calculator at http://www.mtpchina.org/.
--> D) Get the money.
--> E) Record it on the sheet.
4) At the end, give the money and list of names to Pei Yi (Only 1:30-1:55 shift)

Here is an example of step 3. Pretend 1 went to New York for the summer. So You first go to http://www.travelmath.com/flight-distance to get the distance which is 11,907 km one way and 23,814 km roundtrip.


Then I go to http://www.mtpchina.org/ to calculate how many trees I need to pay. And then I enter 23,814 (without commas) and then it turns out to be 11 trees or 275 RMB.
